Sahara Desert -The Biggest sand desert in the world.
The world's largest desert located in northern Africa, stretching from Atlantic Ocean to east coast of the Red Sea. Sahara extends 5,600 km from east to west, 1,600 km wide from south to north, passing through Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Chad, Algeria, Niger, Tunisia, Morocco, Mali, Mauritania and Western Sahara, with a total area of 8600. 000 km2, accounting for 30% of the whole African continent. Traditionally, people tend to call this a desert, but have a new desert called precisely because Sahara is not just a typical desert with large sand dunes, but also a large area lava outcrops or with a thin layer of crushed lava (stone desert) with beach pebbles and gravel (desert).
